The Global Center for Journalism and Trauma is dedicated to informed, innovative and ethical news reporting on violence, crisis and tragedy, and to the psychological resilience of journalists worldwide.
So much of what counts as news involve the worst human experiences of violence, crisis and suffering, particularly in today's trauma-drenched news cycles. This challenges journalists' craft, ethics and personal capacity. The Global Center for Journalism and Trauma provides resources, training and research to strengthen reporting on survivors of trauma and advance a culture of trauma awareness and support within journalism.
The GCJT offers ongoing training and consultation to newsrooms in trauma-aware reporting, self-care for journalists, effective newsroom leadership in traumatic times and other subjects.
