Journalism Support Exchange
Save time. Find support. Strengthen local news.
About the Journalism Support Exchange
The Journalism Support Exchange (JSX) is like a matchmaking service for the news industry. Think of it as a comprehensive directory that connects newsrooms—especially local ones—with organizations that can help them thrive.
Here's what it does: The journalism support landscape is growing, but it can be confusing. Hundreds of organizations exist to help newsrooms, but it's hard to know who does what, which ones might be the best fit, or how to find them. The JSX is creating a central hub where everyone can connect. We’re not creating new data, we’re simply making existing information more visible and useful.
This version of the JSX was designed by Press Forward and Commoner Company as an MVP (minimum viable product), it has just enough features for early users who can give us feedback for future development. To date, we’ve collected real-time, in-person feedback from newsroom leaders, journalism support organization staff and journalism funders. You can give us your feedback here.
